In 1955, “Shikoku Chemical Institute” was established in the field of chemical paints under the policy “to create something from nothing”. In the first 10 years, the company created the basis of the business. In 1963, the company name was changed into “Shikoku Kaken Industry Co., Ltd.” developing as a top manufacture of architectural coating. On April 1991, the company name was changed into “SK Kaken Co., Ltd.” pursing the further expansion of the business filed. In 2005, the company celebrated the 50th anniversary. Considering year 2006 as the start of the second foundation year, SKK further develops new products and new markets.
